Oh, I never even thought of that.  I'd be happy for forward or back - but yes, it would be nice to find living relatives of his.  At the very least I'd like to know what became of him after he and Mary divorced. She went on to remarry a Raymond Harvey and had my mom's half-sister, then divorced yet again and remarried a George Bacon - then they left England and came here, my mom met and married my dad and had me - within a year!  I'd love to find out what happened to her first husband - as he was my grandfather after all, but I can't find a thing :(

That would be George Senior's marriage record!  Duh! Sorry :(  And I bet that Annie Atkinson, witness, would be Esther's sister :)  Neat

Yorkshire marriages, looks like her witness could have been her sister as there is a marriage 4th March 1916 for a Herbert Wood and Annie Elizabeth Atkinson ( father Rowland, a miner)

The most recent reply I can see is #14 above (by cath151 about Annie's birth date) and yet my email updates say there are more replies (??) and when I do a google search I come up with a reply that I can't see either.  I'm so confused :(
