Thanks Ian, in notes made while bk for house 44 have Judith(farmer)Thomas(son) Mark(son)Margt(daur)Judith(daur)also Robt(son)Andy(son)Nancy(daur),tho could be wrong. Tho' think my Thomas Stratford b.1858 & your Mark Stratford b.1856 were brothers, in some notes have your Catherine Foster as descended from one of Thomasina Fergusons other sisters, (why wondering if Thomasina Ferguson b.1826 & Mark Stratford b. 1801 Kilgolagh d. 1869 Co Cavan are def the correct ancestors)

                                                                                          - etc

                                                - John Kilroy
                            - Jane Kilroy
    - Mother
Carole

And the bit you're unsure of is:
 - Are Thomas*'s parents correct (and the same as Mark*s?)

I havent been able to find much on Catherine Foster. Although, I think she is the daughter of John Foster and Anne <Unknown Surname>

Is this the church where Thomas is buried?
https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/buildings-search/building/40403010/lough-gowna-church-of-ireland-church-cloone-county-cavan

After the Coronavirus lockdown is over, I could check the nearby graves for clues - I live not too far away (I'd want to be sure I have the right church though!)

Hi Ian, thanks for summary which mks me realise they def must have been brothers, also video of Gowna Ch which is the right one. Havent any inform abt Catherine except b.1855 d.12 May 1937 & they had 5 children, including your Gt G'father, Mark. Gowna Church is where my Thomas of Drumgore b. 1858 d.13 jan 1939 is buried, his grave is the upright fancy grave with the S on it, also there is the flat tomb of Mary Anne Knight & Thomas Ferguson & headstone nr tree is of Catherine Sloane(daur of Mary Anne Knight & Thomas Ferguson).
At Drumlumman Ch Irel abandoned graveyard, Finea(Ballymackilenny Ch),are old Stratford tombstones & old Stratford Coat of Arms(used by orig Irish Stratfords of Baltinglass). Thomasina, our ancestor is buried here, also Mary Ann her sister & several graves with Stratford crests on headstones. (Got all inform from relative,as have had to postpone visit to Dublin/Cavan).
Finnea village is where Thomasina had her house, & is beside the old Police Station. There was another Ferguson sister, Martha Anne b. abt 1822, d 23 Jun 1851, she married a cousin of our Mark Stratford b 1801-1869, He was also called Mark Stratford, think b abt 1820 & his father was William Stratford, farmer & they married 6 Jan 1847 Granard & had 1 son called John William Stratford b 1851, same year Martha Anne died.
There was a land indenture drawn up by Edgar William L'Estrange, Solicitor of 197 Gt Brunswick St, Dublin dated 18 Aug 1869 abt the Ferguson lands betw: Thomasina Stratford b.Ferguson of Kilgola(widow)1st part, John William Stratford of Knockaghy minor & Henry Strong his guardian 2nd part, John Strong & William Strong 3rd part, Catherine Sloane b.Ferguson of Knockaghy(widow) 4th part, Thomas Irvine & Cherry Irvine b. Ferguson 5th part & James Dalton of  Brunswick Rd, Dublin 6th part.   Thomas Ferguson & Mary Anne Knight also had twin sons, b/d 1828, because of no male descendents lands divided betw the 5 daughters & their descendents. (Thomas Fergusons father was John Ferguson)
The only inform I have abt Catherine Foster is she & Mark had 5 children, John William, Thomasina, Andrew, Mark,(ur Gt Grandfather)& Samuel, if I find more will let you know.
Realise your Mark b. 1855 d 1937 & my Thomas Stratford b 1858 d 13 jan 1939 Drumgore must be brothers tho unfort never been able find links for his birth & parents names, wonder if they poss had other brothers/sisters.When you get chance again to look at Churches pl let me know how goes

Civil registration of births started in 1864 so there will be no birth certificate. A baptism record (if it exists/survives) might or might not list either mother's Christian & maiden names or just Christian name. The information in registers can vary according greatly.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
