Margaret O`CONNOR, Hamilton
« on: Saturday 13 December 14 05:01 GMT (UK) »
Margaret O`CONNOR, married Arthur CARTER in Hamilton, New Zealand on 6th September 1867.
Where did Margaret come from and who did she arrive in Hamilton with?
The woman I have not seen or read about, the men recruited as Military Settlers I have some understanding about but the woman seem to be mysteries!
Does anyone have any information on these New Zealand Pioneer woman? or where to look?

I would buy their marriage printout as it should name their parents. As painful as it is unless someone else has a copy it is very hard to narrow down which Margaret O'Connor she is as a single woman entering NZ.

You don't know where she might have died?

Lots of single women came to NZ as domestic servants
Wemyss/Crombie/Laing/Blyth (West Wemyss)
Givens/Normand (Dysart)
Clark/Lister (Dysart)
Wilkinson/Simson (Kettle or Kettlehill)
