I am new at this with very little family info. All I know is my grandmother was gypsy. I grew up hearing her speak to my dad in some dialect. Her birth Name Beatrice Young her  MOTHERS birth Name Delilah Boss. I was only told my granny was born in a wagon and her family was horse traders. Any help on how to get started with little to go on would be great. Thank you,

There is a family on the 1871 census living at Holdforth Brick Yard  in Camps, living next door to a Young family. There is a daughter Delilah Boss aged 12, and the families have gypsy like occupations. That would make Delilah born 1859.
I can send more details but quite a large family to transcribe.

I truly wish I had more. I just recently found out from someone who posted a msg on my granny's find a grave page that Delilah's last name was Boss not Bass as I was told. I was told Delilah married a Joseph Young therefore my Granny Beatrice Young.
There is a Joseph & Delila Bass that married Aug 26 1887
They had two children Enen born in Flint Micigan 1901and Beatrice. We never knew Beatrice exact birthday but , she was between 39-42 yrs of age when she had my Dad in 1940. I saw this on a website a year ago. Not sure if it's my family.

Now we've established they were in America  here is a link to the marriage~ Joseph Youngs occupation was a Horse Dealer.

It does state she was born in Ohio, where there is this family in the 1880 census in Auburn, Crawford, Ohio.
