Lodovick Hill/ Isobel Main 1764

I am researching David Main/ Beatrix Ritchie, my ancestors, who married 1710, New Monkland.  David is one of three sons of John Main of Ballochney. David/ Beatrix  had a son David who married Elizabeth Salmond 1741 (this record was in the New Monkland OPRs). I recently discovered that one of their daughters, Isobel, married Lodovick Hill 1764. I would appreciate exchanging information with any of the descendants of Lodovick Hill/ Isobel Main.

Lang syne Jim, presumably this is the John Main of Ballochney who carried the East (New) Monkland parish flag at the Battle of Bothwell Brig & was executed in Glasgow.

That flag was passed down the Main family & in a bad way, it has been restored by North Lanarkshire Council & re-exhibited in the Airdrie library.  Formerly displayed in the Gushethouse Inn, Airdrie & gifted to the library by the owner, a Main!

I've been looking up the Shotts flag & this popped up!

I had a chance to have a good look at the flag in the library in Airdrie when I visited Scotland in 2012.
