Hi and welcome to Rootschat!

Your first avenue of research is to find and purchase a birth certificate for one of the children. The mother's name should be on there. From there, you have more info to be able to hopefully find a marriage (if they married in Canada).
Also, what about Malcolm's death certificate? That could have information about his wife, birthplace, and/or length of time in Canada.
Sorry I can't be more specific, but I am not too familiar with Canadian records.
I am Australian, from all the lands I come (my ancestors, at least!)
Pine/Pyne, Dowdeswell, Kempster, Sando/Sandoe/Sandow, Nancarrow, Hounslow, Youatt, Richardson, Jarmyn, Oxlade, Coad, Kelsey, Crampton, Lindner, Pittaway, and too many others to name.
Devon, Dorset, Gloucs, Cornwall, Warwickshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire, Wilts, Germany, Sweden, and of course London, to name a few.
