Frederick William Taylor- England to Canada 1889

Hi all,

I'm researching my Taylor line and have hit a bit of a roadblock with Frederick William Taylor who moved from England to Montreal, Canada in 1889.  Here is the info I have so far:
Born March 1867 in England (one census listed London) and died in Montreal 1919.
Immigrated to Canada in 1889, naturalized in 1892 and became a firefighter with the city.
Wife: Elizabeth A Lawes (Laws?), also from England, born Oct 1866, with the same immigration dates.
Children: Nellie - born in 1887, 1891 Canada census shows England as birthplace, 1901 census shows Quebec, no other records found.
They also have 3 sons, George Henry, Frederick William and Henry John; which I have successfully managed to trace.

Any help with finding any info before he moved to Canada would be much appreciated.

Too many FW's born around 1867 London so the marriage cert. is required.
