Searching for family of Ann Connelly, father is James. Ann supposedly born 1833 in Tuam, migrated to Australia, date unknown, and married in Sydney in 1852.

Might be helpful to say whom she married. Was she a convict? There is a woman of the same name and age on familysearch in the prison registers on familysearch.org
Wemyss/Crombie/Laing/Blyth (West Wemyss)
Givens/Normand (Dysart)
Clark/Lister (Dysart)
Wilkinson/Simson (Kettle or Kettlehill)

She married Joseph Holland in Sydney in 1852.  I am aware that there is a convict Ann Connelly, I have not been able to find an arrival date for her, and would be very surprised and delighted if she was a convict, but it has never been mentioned. Her obit just says "she arrived in Sydney about 1850". Marriage notice in Syd Morn Herald says "only daughter of James Connelly, Galway". Thanks for help, I am new at this.

I would probably buy this marriage certificate and try to get Ann's mothers name. Her name and her fathers are so common in Galway you could have a very difficult time finding them, her mothers name would help greatly.

I can't believe they recorded her marriage under Donolly, you might want to get that corrected if you ever purchase it.

I notice that from trove au, that they married with a 'special licence' If you want to marry in a church outside your own parish, but don’t have any of the legally-recognised connections to a church, you may be advised to apply for a Special Licence. They were married by Rev Robert Allwood he was the 1840-1884 vicar of St James Church Street Sydney this was Church of England. Maybe Ann was a Catholic, and hence the special licence?

Sorry I can't find any more records that link her back to Galway,
