Emigration UK to Australia - Anwyl in 1920/30s
« on: Wednesday 17 December 14 10:08 GMT (UK) »
A relative Walter Rowland Anwyl b 1874 Liverpool, m 1910 Elizabeth Richardson in Bootle near Liverpool, emigrated to Australia possibly 1923, but I can find no trace of him on passenger lists. I have an electoral roll listing  for 1939 in Melbourne
Any help on dating his moving to Australia would be most appreciated

Many thanks for the rapid replies despite my estimate of 1923! - was totally unaware that Elizabeth's brother Robert was in Australia, I wonder if they travelled out together?
Many thanks

Thanks Rosie  :)

Found this on Robert Richardson.

 HEAD IN GAS STOVE.
A finding of suicide was recorded by the  coroner (Mr. D Grant) at an inquest yesterday into the death of Robert Richardson, aged 54 years,  seaman, of North avenue, Moorabbin, who was found on October 25 with his head in a gas stove and the gas turned on.
