Sarah Burton / Sarah Hutchinson
« on: Saturday 20 December 14 02:18 GMT (UK) »
This is a new post of an old topic - but I need some help.

Sarah Burton was born about 1821/22 b: Hungerton cum Wyvell (Wyville)  She was residing at Stonesby, Melton Mowbray  in 1851 Census Ref HO 107/2091/636/14 with husband and 3 children James, Elizabeth and Mary Ann

Don't have a dob for her or christening also can't find a death cert but on the 1861 Census her husband James Hutchinson is listed as a widower residing with his son William Burton Hutchinson at North Fen, Bourn, Lincs - Census Ref
RG09/2318/52/7.

Can anyone help me find her dob and death or burial.

Deaths Sep 1853  Hutchinson    Sarah Elizabeth   registered     Doncaster   [ 9c   237]
Deaths Sep 1854   Hutchinson    Sarah            registered            Newark   [ 7b   190]
Deaths Mar 1855  Hutchinson    Sarah           registered             Glanford B   [ 7a   497]
Deaths Dec 1857   Hutchinson    Sarah             registered           Spalding   [ 7a   205]

are available as options.............for Lincs

and what i would suggest is to use the Brett Langston regindexpdf on genuki to determine which of the places that you know the family has abode in to gestimate the best option of certificate, and then take a punt and purchase such...or simply lash out and buy all........ but since the ages dont appear before 1867 I realise deaths can be a PIA....    best I can offer unless someone else has a brainstormer for u

merry xmas

fusion

"Wyville with Hungerton, or Hungerton-cum-Wyville is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, and situated approximately 5 miles (8 km) south-west from Grantham"
Wyville is a small hamlet consisting mainly of a collection of farm buildings and a 19th-century church. A small spring runs to the south of the hamlet, toward the Cringle Stream at Stoke Rochford, an early tributary of the River Witham).

Grantham is in the IGI but not any of the other places.

There is a William Hutchinson born 6 April 1843    STONESBY,LEICESTER,ENGLAND and he died 6 April 1843    STONESBY,LEICESTER,ENGLAND. His parents were James Hutchinson and Sarah Burton, so this explains why he was not in the 1851 census. IGI

William Burton Hutchinson was born 4 November 1855, STONESBY,LEICESTER,ENGLAND to James Hutchinson and Sarah. IGI

So we know she died between 1855 and 1861

Spalding and Glanford are both in Leicestershire. Spalding is nearer to Melton Mowbray on the map than Glanford. I think I'd get the 1857 Spalding death.

It would have to be the Spalding death, if any. The Glanford one is for the Mar quarter 1855; William Burton Hutchinson was born 4 Nov 1855.  :)

Merry Xmas

Wyville-with-Hungerton parish records can be accessed via your nearest LDS family history centre, through their microfilm ordering system. Both parish registers and bishop's transcripts are available, PR's 1817-1842, BT's 1817-1870.
