hi , can anyone tell me where BETHAL would be in the uk in the late 1700s , i believe a relative was born there as that's what it sales on the 1851 census - thank you

Could it be Bethnal? As in Bethnal Green?

THE 1851 CENSUS SAYS BORN BETHEL --AND HE IS AGED 55 --NOTHING ELSE AT ALL

THERE IS A BETHEL IN WALES , BUT THAT THROWS ME COMPLETLY AS WALES HAS NEVER COME INTO THE FAMILY AT ALL

ooops sorry, yes 1851 census --caroline tipping (NEE CLARKE)/Richard tipping/ George Clarke aged 17 born Bristol ,and George Clarke aged 55 born bethel --they are all together in Manchester on the census ,its the clarkes im after ,but having to go wider as im stuck
