cardiff city reserve players 1927

I have just discovered that my Grandfathers brother Dilwyn Davies was a reserve player for Cardiff City Football Club in 1927 when they played Arsenal in the FA Cup. Would anybody be able to help me confirm this. I have tried looking on the Cardiff City web page on past players without any joy.

I had a quick look and there doesn't seem to be anywhere that mentions reserves for the match.
You could try contacting the FA directly. http://www.thefa.com/contact-thefa
If they don't have an archivist, I am sure they will know where to find the information.

I am distraught to say that my late grandfather was the ill-fated Arsenal goalkeeper on that day!
