Zion Church, Bridlington
« on: Monday 29 December 14 21:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I'm researching my family history: the Bishops of Bridlington.  I remember seeing a red brick church build on Quay road or St. John's Street, Bridlington. The family story said that the foundation stone was laid by one of my ancestors, all of whom lived around Bridlington Quay in the late 1800's/early 1900's.  Does anyone have any information about the building of this Church, and if, in fact, a Mr Bishop laid the Foundation Stone.  Thanks.

Welcome to the boards, Margiemay.

Have you tried some google searches, just to see what is out there?

e.g.:
http://forebears.co.uk/england/yorkshire/bridlington  (keep scrolling down to get to Zion Historical information)
