Hi Goda
I'm researching Edward Bowyer born Raglan, 1819. I drew a blank to start off with as the 1851 census data had place of birth London and age 20, but everything else fitted.
I'm finding this angle most difficult. The Robinsons of Whitby are a bit easier.

Hi Goda,
I have just found your post and I think your Edward's ancestors came from Luntley in Herefordshire.
Edward Bowyer the elder of Luntley married Mary Williams of Arthea Farm in Tregare, Monmouthshire in 1707.  Mary died young and in 1751 their son Edward Bowyer the younger sued his father and stepmother for his share of the large marriage settlement that was supposedly left in trust for him by his mother.  He seems to have won and subsequently lost all the property and then disappeared but today I found records of an Edward Bowyer in and around Raglan in the mid 1700s who was closely connected with Mary's nephew's family.
Edward the younger's eldest son was also named Edward and I am descended from another younger brother named Thomas Bowyer who moved to Sedgley in Staffordshire.  Until today we had no idea where the third Edward may have gone but Raglan is now looking very likely.  There might be an extended series of Edward Bowyers.  I'd love to learn what you know about Edward born in 1819.
cheers
