find a will service (online)
« on: Friday 09 January 15 13:26 GMT (UK) »
this is a new arena for me, never obtained a will before, looking for feed back from others who have used the service

it was xmas and I had come into a bit of money and thought great I can spoil my self with my first will (too much festive booze and five were ordered - hic!)

So I sat there looking forward to them arriving on the 07th Jan - sadly it came and went and nothing was there

I just checked today in case I'd put the wrong email address but no I hadn't and there they were stating they had been delivered! But only one was available to download and it was just a grant letter not a will.
 :(

I can't seem to find an email address to contact anyone for help or assistance on there either!

It's very frustrating!

I hope you don't have to wait too long for it.  :)

used the main site feedback form and had a reply already but not impressed - surely it shouldn't be "closed" until it has been resolved - tut, Government and number fiddling lol  ::)

I suppose they mean that the service team will be in touch when it's sorted.  :-\

The way the feedback works at the moment is that it goes into a central pool and is then passed on to the correct desk/department.

I'm a business user and there are a lot of issues with HMCTS and the wills service at the moment.

I know it's really frustrating but please have a tiny bit of patience. They really are working at getting things fixed and it's not just being able to download your documents.

It also didn't help that they were so busy over ther Christmas period when it's usually a very quiet time. Blame the recent press releases for that!

I must say that I am impressed with the service. I ordered a will at the beginning of December and although it was two days later arriving than they said, I wasn't surprised, as that was about the time that the service changed and there was all the publicity about it, so obviously they were busier than normal. I was lucky as I had no problem downloading. I have just recieved an e-mail reminding me that unless I have downloaded and saved it, I will no longer be able to view it on line after the 12th January. Hopefully once all the gremlins have been sorted, this will be a very useful service.
