rootschat does not 'do' finding living people.
You need to try another site such as Genes Reunited Find Living relatives (small fee to join).

http://www.GenesReunited.co.uk/boards/board/living_relatives

If you are trying to work your way back, you need to join Scotlands people, which is free to register, but then costs to do look ups.

Have you got a date of birth for Hugh, as he could have died and we could try and find him that way.

There is a fairly comprehensive tree for this family on Ancestry which takes it back at least two further generations. It mentions James born 1931 whom I assume is your father and also a sister born 1929 and a brother ( not Hugh) born 1933. The only obvious birth in Scotlandspeople index for the Tongue area in that timescale is for a John Hugh MacLeod born 1936 ( you would need to order up the birth certificate to check if this is the correct person). There is a possible matching death in Invernesshire in 2011.
Isobel
Clotworthy, McMahon, Saunderson, Culley (Ireland & Scotland)
Weatherall, Greer (Ireland & Scotland)
Hamilton, Johnston, Dawson, Rennie, Wright (Clackmannanshire)

Welcome to to Rootschat Alison.

You need to make another post before you can do personal messaging. (3 posts) but as Rosie said it`s quite a time since benloyal was active. I hope it works out for you both.
