I'm trying to connect with anyone who has tried to research their ancestors from Ulster Co. Monaghan and in the area of Castleblayney.
My gr gr grandfather Francis Little was born in 1805. My grgr grandmother Sarah McCullough was born in 1823. As far as we know they were born in this area. They came to Canada in the 1840's and settled in Kingston,On. The only clues we have are that they were Preysbeterian and my grgr grandfather owned an inn/pub called Castleblayney in Kingston. I have info of their life here but cant seem to trace their roots back to Ireland and possibly Scotland in the borders where i suspect my gr gr gandfathers roots are.. Would anyone have any help or suggestions as there does not seem to be much in the way of records kept for that period.
