Although there doesn't seem to be much info on there apart from their address at the time? (I don't know what the RS2 number means.) Thanks.

FindMyPast have other records for him, including a photograph. If you've not subscribed, there are usually monthly trials.

The RS2 number is the same as his ID number. It is of little consequence as far as records are concerned, his Discharge A number being the seaman's pivotal reference.

Yes unless you can visit Kew and obtain for free. Medal cards do not give any other useful info apart from the medals issued. Download for £3.30 but you already have the card or am i missing something?

Hello Hugh,
You are correct the original poster has the medal card so whats the point in downloading from TNA.

Think there might be a misunderstanding, that's not my medal card, I just posted it as an example. I don't have the medal card or I wouldn't have asked.
