Hi Kellie

Where did you get your date from?

The Lunacy Admission registers have him admitted on the 11 April 1890 and dying 12 April 1890

Hi Willow

Do you know when he was admitted?

Dawn

Sorry I dont but it would have been after 1911 as he is on that census at home his death certificate states he died of 'Pulmonary Turberculosis and Secondary Dementia' so I'm guessing it would have been closer to 1933 than 1911

Hi sorry,

I doubled checked that his burial date the infos from black country history collections the Wednesfield St Thomas's Parish Register Indexes: Burials, 1751 - 1909.

19 Apr 1890 ROWLEY   Samuel, 51 of Wednesfield. From Stafford Asylum.

Was there any other info about him on the lunacy admission registers?

Thanks Kellie

So he was buried on the 19th, not died.

You would need to check with the Stafford Archives. I had a look at their online catalogue and they do have some deposited registers there.

Henry Hilton doesn't appear to be on the National Archives Lunacy registers, why do you think he was there?
