1841 Census Lookup - Rachel McLEOD

Rachel McLEOD b. abt 1832 Ross and Cromarty

Sister Isabella born 1830 Ross and Cromarty - parents Angus and Catharine

I don't know if it's Catharine McDONALD or BETHUNE.

I'd like a look up please for Rachel in 1841. Failing that, a look up please for Angus and family in 1851.

Not sure about this but I found an Isabella (1831) on an 1841 transcription at Garrybost, Stornoway, Ross and Cromarty
Parents Angus 1781 & Catherine 1791. Others: John 20, Mary 14, Alexander 14, Janet 12 but no Rachel.
1851 Ganabost, 31, Stornoway, Ross and Cromarty
Angus a Crofter 1775 & Catherine 1788. Children all Unmarried
Catherine 32, Mary 30, Alexander 25, Jessie 23.

Hello Colin,

Thank you very much.  There are 2x Angus & Catherine. Not sure yet if there are 2x Isabella. If only one then it's the right family.

Mary must have been 19 rounded down to 15 in 1841 and then 30 in 1851.

Rachel married 12 Dec 1853 in Glasgow and died in Australia 13 Aug 1909 aged 77. Death reg only has her father as Angus with no details for her mother.
