Hi Everyone. I am trying to find out the birth and death of an Israel Stanley. Who was born in 1718 or 1728. I can find his marriage dates but not his birth or death. Thank you Sue.

Sue,
You need to share what you do know to help others help you.

What are the details of the marriage?

Regards
Peter

Hi Sue,
OTP means "of this parish" but it doesn't always mean much. Strictly it only means they resided in the parish for the three weeks prior to the wedding and not necessarily a resident.
What parishes did the three weddings you listed take place in, I assume not all Buckingham.

Hi Sue, and welcome to Rootschat!
Don't assume that the three marriages are all for the same Israel Stanley. You need to find burial dates for Rosimond and Jane, and even then there is no guarantee, although the third marriage mentions that he was a widower, so I think you are fairly safe with the second two.

I don't know how to post separate replies. Hi Peter. They were all in Buckingham. Someone passed me on these details from a Buckingham book that they was in. Hi Pine. I have tried to find the deaths of his wives but have been unable to. I am newish to this. I come from the second wives line. So I am at a standstill. Sue.

What parish did these marriages take place in? I see the second marriage states "of Buckingham", rather than "of this parish".

Edited: I just re-read your post, sorry. It's interesting the minister or clerk wrote "of Buckingham" instead of OTP.
