In Germany there is civil registration for the year 1878.
You will get the information concerning Jacob's birth and parents from the

"Standesamt" at Rosenheim.

The birth of Jacob Huber is registered under the number 1878/51.

Regards Rudolf

Oh! How does that  work? How did you get that information? How can I get a copy or certified copy of that record?

I'm in awe at this forum's skills!

About Eugen,
I found this, https://familysearch.org/search/image/index#uri=https%3A%2F%2Ffamilysearch.org%2Frecapi%2Fsord%2Fcollection%2F1931806%2Fwaypoints , but can't access it. Today I went to a LDS CENTER, thinking that could be the issue, but still wasn't able to acces,, got the next message:

"this image is viewable to signed-in members of supporting organizations".

Don't know if it's something with their system, (someone did mention something about work being done in their page, so.. Maybe that? ) or is there something else? Is there a special permission needed to see some archives? Anyone has a clue? (Or access?)

I don't even know if I'll find something there, -nor do I know ANY russian- but I was prepared to spent some good hours in there.

Did you ask the folks at the LDS center?

Some of the documents they've scanned come with restrictions put in by the actual owners of the records (the original archives). I suppose it's possible that there's also a regional lock - I remember looking at their catalogue years ago and seeing that some microfilms had note that they couldn't be ordered in certain countries.

I did ask, three persons came to my assistance but none of them knew what that was about. "They hadn't seen that message before"

Standesamt Rosenheim, address & eMail:

A copy is always cheaper than a certified copy of his birth record. - At least you will get the names of his parents.

well,

continuing...
I have now Jacob Huber's Birth record from Rosenheim with me, (can't really figure it out since it is in that old german script.. and in german)..

But.. still nothing from Eugen!
from some border crossings from Laredo Texas, I could find that Arthur (youngest brother) was born in Munich, I guess I could try to find more about that. But it still crosses me that Eugen is nowhere to be found!  ???

I also got his marriage certificate from Monterrey, Mexico ... (of course the names all wrongly written,, and the place and date of birth....DRUMROLL please.... BLANK!!! >:(

I really hit a brick wall with him.

-sigh-

Nothing yet,,

I found that the younger brother of Eugen Huber (B. 1915 Approx), Arthur (Artur?) Huber, was born in München in 1921(approx) ... maybe is a long shot, but is it worth looking for Eugen's birth also in München? do you guys have any link where I could do such search?
