Hi

I am trying to pinpoint the location of the crash of a Vickers Wellington at Stocking Farm, Beaumont Leys, Leicester.
Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
Ritch.

hello and welcome,

Have you tried local newspapers' archives?
its possibly a long shot because crashes of our planes might not always be reported in war time, but it is something to think about.

If no joy there try writing a letter  to the local press, someone might be able to shed some light for you.
cheers
taffie

Have you tried contacting the currecnt owners of the farm (if it still exists)?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

From  The Beaumont Leys plane crash on 25th April 1943 - A Postscript
such as that there was no report of the crash in the local newspapers at the time, and enclosing a map showing that the site of the crash, which was pasture land then, is now a housing estate.
