Michael MacDonald Raheendarragh Rathanna
« on: Sunday 25 January 15 18:50 GMT (UK) »
I am seeking descendants of Michael MacDonald, shown in the 1901 census as living at Raheendarragh, Rathanna with wife Anne. He is registered as being 50 years at that time. I believe he may have been the brother of my great, great grandfather, Patrick MacDonald. Patrick and wife Anne (O'Brien) settled in Fall River, MA I believe in the 1860's. A naturalization record for Patrick MacDonald, of Fall River from 1877 lists Co. Carlow as place of birth. Additionally, Patrick's parents were named as Thomas and Sarah on second marriage, and death record in Fall River.  After searching Carlow records, leads look promising, as I find a Thomas MacDonald married to Sally Neil with son Patrick bap. 1839. I'm hopeful to correspond with descendants of Thomas and Sally, and or aforementioned Michael, who my know something about a Fall River connection.
Thanks!
Steve
