George Edward Bird

Hi, I am trying to find the date of birth/christening/baptism record of a George Edward Bird born 1880 in Shottesbrooke (Berkshire) Uk.  I have found the birth registration and found him on the census records but cannot find a baptism or date of birth.  He died on 30.03.1942 but I cannot find anything else.

I wondered if anyone can help me please.  He lived in Shottesbrooke/Wargrave/Winkfield area and married a Margaret Barker in 1908.

Any help would be gratefully received.

I have found the birth registration

Buying a copy of his birth cert is the only way you will get his full date of birth.  He is with his parents on the census entries so you have those details already

Not all children were baptised and even if he was - if it hasn't been transcribed locally or by Family search - you would have to search through all parish records in each church in the area.  Baptisms could take place many months after a birth so it could be a very time consuming exercise.

If you were lucky enough to find his baptism - there is no guarantee it would include his full date of birth as many just show the baptismal date
