If you need more help just ask away. I have found though Jakob and Kathrina's wedding record.
I can also look into the other Johannes to see if there is a connection.

Oh, yes. That wedding record would be lovely. Could you post the image here or the citation? Perhaps I can find it on Ancestry.

If I remember rightly they were married 1788 or somewhere around there in Örsås.
I am at work at the moment. I have it on Arkivdigital.

Hi Joseph
Just wondering where you got all your Swedish info from that's in your tree on Ancestry?

I've had help from a member of the historical society in Örby, Marks Härads, Västra Götaland Län, Sweden. I've also benefited greatly from indexed records at familysearch.org. And lastly, I've gained some insights from other family trees on Ancestry.com.

I know I need to be better about citing my research on my Ancestry.com family tree, but I keep all the hardcore research notes in my personal family history program: Reunion 10. It's a very robust program, and I am using it to create a simple website with the notes intact.

By the way, I located and confirmed the wedding date you gave me. It's too bad they didn't write down the ages of the bride and groom—or really anything besides their names. I'll attach it for you to look at.

Ok. Good stuff.

I have gone back to 1795 in the books for Jacob Gustafsson and his family. If you are interested I can send them on to you.

In 1795 Jacob Gustafsson was 42 years old and Kathrina Johansdotter was 34 years old.
