For a "nominal fee" you can access the Toronto Star Pages of the Past, online archive containing millions of pages as they actually appeared, from  3 November1892 to November 2004  Pages of the Past contains all stories and photos as well as ads, birth, marriages and death notices, classified ads, etc.,
There is a searchable link for free - worth a try  ???

http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/thestar/advancedsearch.html

RunKitty is the expert who would advise you of any other options available.

Hi  :)

In the Globe and Mail, March 7, 1963, in a section listing legal proceedings at the Osgoode Hall courts (in Toronto), under "applications for judgment absolute granted" (divorce) - Patricia I Hazeldine v. Francis C Hazeldine.

So, divorce in 1963.

Hi RunKitty
Thanks for the lead. This gives us a better time line to go with. Frank and Patrica according to family had two sons together and took Patrica's new married name when she remarried.

Thanks again!

HMM - reading your other post and this one, I am a bit confused.  I see that you have his death in California in 1972 after a name change and several marriages. :o :o  A very interesting fellow is your Frank!!

However, other information you found says he was married to someone named Olive, lived in Toronto in 1974 (voters list) and died in Toronto in 1981.

I found the 1981 obit...

Frank C Hazeldine died a the Toronto East General Hospital on Sept 16, 1981.  Husband of Olive Turner.  Father of Francis in Boston.  Lists stepchildren too.  Brother of Marnie and Ethel in USA.  Buried at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Sorry - I have a cold and I am a bit out of it... I see that the 1981 Frank is Frank Sr....  sorry to be so slow on the uptake!!

ADDED -- This Frank Sr has a living son Francis in Boston - are you sure he and Olive are your couple??  Do the sisters in the USA fit with your tree???

Sorry to here that yo are under the weather, hope your feeling better soon.
The Frank Sr who married Olive Jennell Cross is the grandparents.
Frank Jr was a very colorful man who married several times, never new that there were so many levels to Frank.
Is there a way you could send me a copy and past version of the obit?

Thanks again and hope you feel better!
