Thanks Wesselsdawn. I have done extensive genealogical work on my mumís side of the family and have the census and hospital records for my Great Aunt. The family story was that they thought she was kidnapped and sold into the white slave market, but as I started doing my research, I suspect that is not what happened to her. Itís a shame that records from these institutions were destroyed. These young women should be remembered and their stories told.
