Beginner seeking information on James knight marshalsea born1865 somerset England immigrated to USA  married Mary wingfield  from Canada lived in NY nj and  had 4  children one was James wingfield
Marshalsea whose only child is Maryanna D'iauto (still living)

Can't see a birth for James in Somerset however there is this baptism -

James Knight Marshalsea
3 Dec 1865, St Mary Magdalene, Southwark
Father's name - George Marshalsea
Mother's name - Temperance Marshalsea

Could this be who you are researching?

There is a James Knight Marshalsea born Oct-Dec 1865 Newington London his birth date on the baptism record says November

The 1871 census has him originally as born Walworth, Middlesex.

The Middlesex has been crossed out, and 'do' inserted, and the county of birth of the person above him on the census  is Somerset.
