I have the newspaper article.
In the divorce proceedings,it was noted that George Miller had 2 children with Emma Allen on the dates mentioned.
I can only assume they parted and he went on to marry Emily ? In 1901,and they had a son named Edward.
You are correct when you say he was born in Cheriton.
He married my great grandmother Annie Georgina Taylor in Winchester 1880.
The divorce followed.
I would like to know if possible Emily's maiden name.
I suppose I could send off for marriage certificate to get more info.
Again many thanks for everybody's input.

Hello Ciderdrinker,
From what you say it looks like Emma Allen had a "fling" with George Miller resulting in two children.
They parted it seems because they both married in 1900/1901.
Thanks again

Many thanks Trish,

Strange tho isn't it that he had two children with Emma Allen,1896/1898,then left her for
Emily who he married shortly after the last born.
Emma herself married in 1900.
More to this than meets the eye me thinks.
Never know the whole story will we.
Again a big thanks for yours and everybody's input.
No doubt I shall be back soon.
