Welcome toRootschat
If you have your birth certificate this will show where you were born, the law requires that a birth is registered in the district in which it took place.

Hello and welcome  :)

Did you have to send off to the General Register Office? As Stan says, your birth certificate will show where you were born and your parents' details.
Here is a link https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/faqs-adoption.asp#a5 to details shown on adoption certificates.  That certificate would clearly show if it was an adoption.

Just to let you know, please don't post details of any living persons on rootschat.

Sometimes there are mistranscriptions and occasionally even omissions, I think.
I hope your mind is easy now.
Best wishes

If you still would like to know this:

... how do i find out if i was born in a convent ...

Maybe we can do some detective work to try to find out.

What year were you born?
What is the address on your birth certificate?

That is a shame. In that case I am not sure how you would find out if you were born in a convent. What makes you think you may have been?

I hope someone may be able to advise you on how to find out.  :-\
