searching for luke murphy
« on: Sunday 15 February 15 19:08 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone
trying to trace my g/g/grandad luke murphy but not getting anywhere with it.the only things i know about him are as follows, luke married in sheffield in 1874, on his marriage cert it says his father is william and hes a hawker. lukes age is 24 so that would put his birth about 1850. i cant find him anywhere on the 1871 census so maybe he was still in ireland then. luke dies in 1903 age 53 and is buried in R/C cemetery in sheffield. on 1881-1891-and 1901 censuses it says hes born in ireland but no county. i'm new to trying to find irish records, so any help will be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi Glyn24,
Just to show your other thread for information. I know there's not much but it does gave details of Luke's marriage which will probably be asked.
