Barnwoood House Gloucester - Hospital ?

Can anyone help with any info on Barnwood House Hospital Gloucester ?

Edith Wakeman ( of Coton Hall, nr Bridgnorth -lady of the manor etc) died there 26th january 1914, aged 63..a very 'well-to-do lady etc
Any help much appreciated

I have found that my aunty Marjorie (spinster) is recorded as a mental nurse in the 1939 Register for Barnwood House. I was only previously aware of her working as a nurse in Brighton. She was born in Bath, Somerset in 1908.

It would be interesting to learn more of her nursing career.
