Help finding a marriage on my g grandfathers brother: Ralph Roughton Tompkins

I am trying to find the marriage on my g grandfathers brother: Ralph Roughton Tompkins

I have found he was born 1897 and died 1969 (free bmd) but can't find a relevant marriage.

I asked my great aunt if she knew any info and she said he married 'Lena' and had three children: Mildred, Stella and Pansy.

Armed with this info I found three births that I think are correct for Mildred, Stella and Pansy Tompkins, all with the same mothers maiden name -Niell.  (1923,24,26)

I really need to find this marriage so I have confirmation. I am not sure whether Lena is short for anything else.

The mother's maiden name is spelt Neill rather than Niell in all three birth registrations.

Mm mm I'll have to check I spelt correctly in my searches! 

I didn't check Ireland!  Seems possible!

The death of Helena Fawcett Tompkins born 14 Sep 1888 was registered in Southend on Sea, Mar qtr 1981.

That looks like it's right. And Lena now makes sense! 

1988 for the death I think you mean?
