Robert Williams Bangor
« on: Thursday 26 February 15 17:35 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find the parents of Robert Williams who was born in Bangor, Caernarfonshire (now Gwynedd) in 1805 or 1806. The church records are missing for this period. I have found Robert on Bangor Census records. He was living in Glanrafon, Bangor and was a sexton/verger at the cathedral.

Hi,
I've noticed you have replied to an old post on the Anglesey board.....just wondering if its worth posting a new one as well for your Robert Williams.

Also...did he marry? A marriage record may give his father's name.

I have the same relative and am finding it difficult to find the parents of Robert Williams. What I have found is that he was born about 1806 in Bangor, Carnarvonshire, Wales and married Anne Griffith (daughter of Thomas Griffith and Catherine Williams) in 1833. His occupations were varied...Post Boy, Coachman, Sexton, Labourer. He passed away in 1885. If anyone can assist, I'd be grateful!
