Elphick
« on: Thursday 26 February 15 19:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone.
My ancestor Edward Elphick married Sarah reed in 1781 in hastings and they had children
William 1781
Sarah 1783
Susannah 1785
Edward 1787-1851( my ancestor )
Elizabeth 1789
Emma 1795
William I believe died age 16 .
Apart from my ancestor Edward 1787 , I can't find anything much about the other children.
Sarah I think married a Hugh Harris in 1809 in Camden and on a burial transcription for all saints church , hastings it states she died in 1825 aged 42.
I really would like to know more about the other children and any help would be gratefully received as always .
Many thanks. Xx

Would be interesting to find out.
It wasn't a daughter of her brothers as william died at 16 and Edward went to live in rotherhithe and then married there so who know unless she is an illegitimate daughter of hers .)Emma)
It might just be the excuse I need to pop in for a crafty tipple haha.
Can anything be found about Sarah Elphick who married Hugh Harris in Camden ?
Many thanks .

You may have this -but it seems Hugh Harris was a widower when he married Sarah

Marriage
St George the Martyr Queens Square Camden borough
21 Feb 1809
Hugh Harris widower of this parish
Sarah Elphick Spinster of the same parish
married by Banns
witness's Thos Harris & B(? could be C or E) Elphick
