Looking for information re Robert Stock, married Lydia Arms in Bedford 1815

Looking for any information on Robert Stock who married Lydia Arms at St John's Church, May 9, 1815 in Bedford. I am aware of four children and have some data on them, but nothing on Robert and Lydia.

Any further information would be useful.  When were Robert and Lydia born ? When did they immigrate to Canada ? Where did they live in Canada ?

I do not know when they were born or died. They did not come to Canada but their son William and his family did move to Lincoln and lived on Spital Street. William's son James Alfred Stock came to Winnipeg, Canada in May of 1887.

Henry Stock  20 Labourer.
Letitia Stock  7 Grand-Daughter.

The 1861 census shows the James Stock with parents that you refer to  -

William Slock  39 Labourer at Iron Foundry.
Letitia Slock  38
John T Slock  8 March 1953 Bedfordshire.
James Slock  2  Born Bedfordshire.
Frederick Slock  1 month.

England Selected Births and Christenings shows James Alfred Stock - baptised 1 August 1858 - Bedford Eng. Parents William and Letitia.

Message board post re William Stock and Letitia - 3 Jan 2013 - if this is not you it could be a contact.

"William and Letitia Stock, were married in Bedford, England in 1838. Sometime between 1841 and 1845 they sailed to Tasmania etc etc"

Copy of marriage cert for William and Letitia on ancestry - Marriage at St.Peter Maston, Bedford, Bedfordshire, Parent of Letitia Thomas Berrington - Labourer and father of William Robert Stock - Shoemaker. Witnessed by John Berrington & Thomas Moody

Anv tree shows parents Thomas Berrington and Jane Rawlings but just Robert Stock as the father of William.

Its always best to give as much information as you can so the RootsChatters don't waste there time duplicating what you already have.  I put that small piece together as back ground info and hopefully someone can come up with further information for you - probably needs to come from parish records. The Bedfordshire board was a better option for trying to get that info. Fingers crossed.

Another thought - You could list "Stock" in the surnames Interest Table on RootsChat ?

Scroll down to the bottom of any RootsChat) page.

In the dark box, under "Your Tools" you will see "Surname Interests".

Click on that -  then "Quick Search"  - then select the initial letter ( " S " ).
Scroll down to find " S " click on that and a list of " S " researchers will pop up.
You should be able to add your own as well.
