Wormswood scrub prison. Records of Employment 1891
« on: Monday 02 March 15 14:22 GMT (UK) »
Hello, I am trying to trace my great grandfather and his family.  He was a warden-er at Wormswood Scrub Prison in the year 1891.  His name was Thomas Hugh Davies and his wife was Sarah Ann Bates.
My grandmother was born at the prison in 1891 however that is all I know.  I would like to obtain my great grandfather's birthday and information about any other children he may have had.  Thank you Lillian Cosgrove

Thats great.  It certainly sounds like my ancestors. My grandmother apparently was born in June 1891 Kate Violet Davies at the Prison.  I am not sure how to confirm this information.

Regards

Sarah

To confirm it you will probably need to purchase a copy of her birth cert.
Can be ordered online from www.gro.gov.uk, using the reference given in reply#3 above.
