Help needed please with Probate record part 2

Second part of document...


First line of the next part can't read any...

that the said Reuben Prostman ? belonged to ye ship above mentioned about 20 months thereof or thereabouts he was midshipman and had about 26s a month and after that was gunners mate at about 28 s a month which in all may amount to about 27 (is that pounds?) and that when he ? ye said wages he will give - next part I can't read at all until the last bit - that he knows of no other effects belonging to ye said ?

You've got most of it.

Imprimis this testament declareth
that the said Reuben Prestman
decest belonged to the ship
abovementioned about 20 months
12 months thereof or thereabouts

then I think you have all the next few lines right, then:-

and that when he receives ye
said wages he will give an
accompt of the certain summe
and will be accomptable therefore
and also declareth that he knows
of no other effects belonging to ye
said decest

It does help when you don't try to turn the words into modern day language ???

Suey, just a minor enhancement - where you have "...a month..." it should read "...p(er) month...".

It's a p with its downstroke crossed, and therefore a brevigraph indicating letters are omitted.
