Brenda Allen

Hello,

I'm trying to find a date of death for a Hollywood madame called Brenda Allen, born Marie Mitchell, who also went variously under the names Brenda Allen Burns, Marie Cash, Brenda Burns, and Marie Balanque.  I think she was born about 1912.  She divorced in 1961 from a Navy pilot called Robert H Cash in a high-profile divorce.
Any suggestions?

This may be the marriage in 1960 in which case we have another name, "Marie Brooks".

(newspaper snippet online does suggest this was the case but I cannot get full record as it is behind a paywall).

Problem: she may well have changed her name/details again.  Details at death could be very sparse and/or incorrect.

If she died in California, the California death index available online only goes up to 1997. 

Another place to check would be the Social Security Death Index:  https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1202535  However, not everyone's death is reported there.
