Look Up Request - Elizabeth Price

I have traced my paternal line back to a John Price Pershore c1811 and registered at Holy Cross Pershore

Whilst visiting Pershore today I found a grave for; Elizabeth Price of Whitcroft Pershore Died March 22nd 1870 aged 59 years

Can anybody assist and provide further information

Have you looked for her on the 1861 census?  Any other info on her gravestone - husband etc etc??

No more info on gravestone unfortunately so don't know if married into Price family or if Price is maiden name.

Her death was registered as Price and that is the name on the headstone.  If she was married and her husband died before her you would expect to see his name on the headstone

If he died after her there may not have been any money to add him to it .  Or- she wasn't married

Have you checked the 1861 as mentioned earlier

I can only see 3 Elizabeth Prices of the right age in Worcestershire in 1861:

1. Born 1811 in Droitwich in 1861 wife of James born 1808 Ag Lab

2. Born 1812 in Kidderminster in 1861 wife of William born 1811 Ag Lab

3. Born 1813 in Droitwich in 1861 wife of William born 1807 Ag Lab

I don't think either Droitwich or Kidderminster come under the Pershore district. I think you either need to see the church records to see if they give anymore information, or get the death certificate.
