In 1785 Joseph Colens came to Canada to work for the Hudson Bay Company and in 1798 came back to England and lived here until his death in 1818 and buried at St John the Baptist Church in Cirencester, England. He is my great, great, great, great Grandfather and our family name is Collins. Who was his father/mother?

Hi,
Welcome to RootsChat.
Source: Gloucestershire Family History Society (GFHS)
Joseph COLEN was buried at St John the Baptist, 19th June 1818, aged 68. I can find no trace of a COLEN marriage in Gloucestershire prior to Joseph's birth.
