From replying to your other thread, I know the family was in Carshalton and eventually Wimbledon. In 1826, the newspapers reported that George Ansell and Charles Augustus Ansell, calico printers of Wimbledon, were bankrupt.

Charles Augustus Ansell was b 1779 in Carshalton, son of George and Sarah Ansell. Looking at these parental names I found a baptism for a George Ansell in 1776 in Beddington, Surrey

George Ansell snr died in 1797 in Carshalton, and his will (available online) confirms that he had two sons, George and Charles Augustus. The will suggests that neither of them was yet 21 when it was written in 1796.

So whilst this isn't proof of it being your George, there are enough links to make this sound a good possibility.

Skimming through the will there is also an older son William and daughters Sarah and Elizabeth.

Looking at FamilySearch it seems as if there might have been other children as well:

George baptised 24th Dec 1776
Robert baptised 20th March 1794
Sarah baptised 23rd April 1780
Elizabeth baptised 21st April 1783
James baptised 31st Jan 1785

The wills are available through Ancestry. If you don't have a subscription, you should be able to access this from your local library.

Alternatively, George snr's will is available to download from the national archives site

http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r/2?_q=ansell&_col=200&_d=PROB&_ps=60&_hb=tna&_srt=3

(it's possible that other wills of interest to you might be on here as well - yes, just looked, William Lingham's will (viz your other thread) is on here as well)

last time I did this it cost £3.50/will --- bargain!
