on the childrens baptisms she is Gastin/Garstin  - not Garston

I would think Gastin is the likely transcription
I live in Garston ,Liverpool and have never seen Garston in a middle name / surname ...whereas  Gastin I have seen quite often

There is a public tree on Ancestry which gives unsourced detail of Sophia's baptism: 7 Mar 1779 at All Hallows Barking, London. Parents William Lingham and Sarah nee Ansell. If this is correct then obviously it raises the question of whether George Ansell and Sophia L were related prior to marriage.

Edited to add - William Lingham's will is available online through Ancestry; it gives lots of detail re immediate family and mentions his married daughter Sophia Garstin Ansell.

From the newspaper archives, it looks as though George Ansell was a calico printer but went bankrupt (possibly more than once!)
