Family Tree sites
« on: Tuesday 24 March 15 17:27 GMT (UK) »
 ???

I live in Canada.

Family came over from England (my Dad & his sister), Ireland (my maternal grandmother's parents) & New Zealand (my maternal grandfather).
And for a time, some family did reside in the USA.

I am registered on Ancestry.com.

Do I really need to be registered on Ancestry.ca?

You don't need to register on more than one site. I am registered with ancestry.co.uk but I can log in to .com; .ca;.au etc. Whether you can access the records on the different sites depends on what kind of subscription you have. My Worldwide sub allows to me to look at all records via the UK site , but I can also do so from the other sites if I wish.
