Obviously it's been a while since this was posted. So rather create another, I can add to this.
The Ferdinando Shrimpton mentioned here, was born 1643 in Penn, Buckinghamshire His wife was Ann Dardes, who he married in Knebworth, Herts, in 1668. Ann Dardes was baptised in 1643 at Knebworth, to John Dardes and Rose,(nee' Shepheard). They married 1634, Knebworth, Herts. I also believe he was the Mayor of High Wycombe, Bucks.
Ferdinando Shrimpton has a son John Shrimpton b.1671, Penn, Bucks. He married Sarah Jarvis, 1694, Stepney, Middx.
John(aka. Jack) Shrimpton, once a soldier in the 4th Regiment of Horse commanded by Major-General Cornelius Wood, an officer in John Churchill's army; Shrimpton was hanged at Gallows Acre, at the top of St. Michael's Hill in Bristol on 4 September 1713. John/Jack had become a notorious Highwayman.
Ferdinando Shrimpton, son of John/Jack Shrimpton, like his father, he was also a soldier, Shrimpton was an associate of Robert Drummond, the Sunderland Highwayman; Shrimpton was hanged at Tyburn in Middlesex on 17 February 1730.
So, 2 Ferdinando Simpsons, Grandfather and Grandson.
