Born 9th July 1915 Dipton, Durham, England.

Married LANGLEY Florence 1st March 1941, Daceyville, NSW.

Petitioned for divorce from Florence 8th Oct 1947

Military service RAAF service # 171770 enlisted Brisbane 28th Feb 1941 whilst living at Old Belmont Rd Charleston, NSW.

There are two entries for enlistment, one #N104963 states NOK is Mary SMITH, second with above details NOK Florence SMITH (nee LANGLEY.)

He may have immigrated from England to America then to Australia???

Any further info such as parents, if he remarried, death, children,residences (any country) would be greatly appreciated.

thanks I'll look it up, where did you find it?

I just found two different enlistments for James on ww2roll.gov.au for the army ??? why two different dates and why can't I find any for RAAF?

The names George H Smith and Mary A McKay appear on the same page December quarter, 1911, Tynemouth.( Free BMD) No guarantee they married each other, but it's the right area of the country and could explain Mary Smith (NoK) - his mother.
