That is what I posted before. http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=712135.msg5557379#msg5557379
In the 1911 Census there is a 54 Derby Street St Helens, Registration district Prescot, Sub-registration district St Helens. You can see it on the map at http://maps.nls.uk/view/101103635#zoom=6&lat=2570&lon=1680&layers=BT

If the death certificate shows St Helens, would it be more likely to be this one rather than Prescot?

I have tried to see it in 1871 but I can't ::) I wonder if it was renamed or newly built.

There is an 1892 Town Plan showing this Derby Street at https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/351171/396215/13/100897 (zoom out) there only appear to be about 20 houses, however as there is a Number 54 in the 1881 census, and the death certificate states 54 Derby Street St Helens, I would tend to agree that this is the one.

Stan

My mistake, about 17 are the houses on Albert Street. According to the 1881 census there are only three houses in Derby Street, numbers 54, 56, & 58, the ones shown north of the school on the map  https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/351171/396215/13/100897
