In the 1881 Census 54 Derby Street, Prescot, was occupied by James Waterson, RG11 Piece 3728 Folio 110 page 4
If you look at the description of the enumeration district it is in the vicinity of Park Road and Stanley Crescent, which you can see on the map at https://goo.gl/maps/FOpWR and also marked is The Clock Face, 54 Derby Street, Prescot, Merseyside L34 3LL
54 Derby Street Prescot is shown as West End House on the maps 1908- 1974, and shown as uninhabited in the 1911 census. Go to https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/346146/392797/13/100765 and zoom out.

Hi,

Have you found George Clark/e born abt 1837 Bristol, in all the Census going back to 1841?

Does he consistently have the name George even in the 1841 Census?

When and where did he marry Mary?  Did he marry as George Clark/e?  An on line tree has him joining the Army and marrying in Ireland - have you found him in Army Records?

What year did Mary Clarke, the widow, die in Whiston workhouse, I can only find one buried
28 June 1882 St Mary the Virgin, Prescot, ABODE Whiston workshouse aged 80?

Sorry for all the questions.

spendlove I welcome all the questions , ive lost it completely this afternoon , right --no birth yet for George nor 1841 census ,thought I had him in wotton under edge but no real proof as of yet as there qwas  a George Clarke but he died aged 8 in a fire ,so unsure there, 1851 I may have him in Manchester with aunt and uncle and granddad George Clarke -but again not really proved it yet --defo have him in army at 1853 using the name George ,married mary holloran in 1866 in galway ,came out of the army in 1867 ,first child George eli  born 1868 in elizabeth st  widnes then 1871 census hes in nelson st widnes 1872 in gerrard st widnes 1874 Cromwell st widnes then we go cold ,my granddad was born in 1877 in workhouse no name on BC and georges first son George eli died in workhouse in 1880, hid DC said father George clarkre deceased so I know he was alive in 1874 and dead in 1880, therefore as my granddad had no fathers name on BC I believe George died between 1874 and 1880, no records that match him except this john Clarke in derby street , --the reason I looked for john Clarke in DC is because when georges son married in 1895 he stated his fathers name was john joseph Clarke --therefore leading me to believe his real name was john but he used the name George throut his life , the tree on ancestry has been copied off mine ,its a relation of mine ,but they only copy mine they don't know any more than me

what about this one?

1881 3731/74/38

54 Derby Street, Windle, St Helens - Prescot district, St Helens sub-district.

The enumerator's description states , "In this district there is a street called Derby Street but almost unknown."
