Wow, Lezlee - exciting! Just spotted what you have written.

What country are you in, we are in New Zealand

I have a email file of genealogy of this line I can share with you.

Do you have a photograph of Jessie?

Grandad returned to Kirkaldy during WW2 and married a local girl. I am unsure if he visited any of his fathers family

I’m in Adelaide.  I will look for photos.  I found an already investigated tree going back to the 1770s. I’m very new to this.
Will send soon as I find some. I am unsure if I can buy credits for Scotland’s People, do you know.

Exciting and amazing the information we now have access to.

Jessie Doughall Gray Clark's mother Annie Ireland (born 1875 at Leven) and her father David Clark (born 1872 at Kettlehill).

Lezlee, do you think you have a photo of Annie Ireland? Does it look like this or different again?

Annie Irelands tree does seem to go right back into the Birrell and Herd families of Fife into the 1700s

To get credits on Scotlandspeople you need a credit card, I have used it before and still have images saved there.

Hi Annie

David Clark was a coal miner living at Innerleven, Scoonie, Fife, and Annie Ireland was a mill worker living at Station Road, Leven, Scoonie.

David Clark is the illegitimate son of Helen Wilkinson and David Clark (Stonemason Journeyman).

Helen Wilkinson is the daughter of William Wilkinson and Lindsay Hay Dalziel Simpson.

I take it there were no house no.s on the marriage?

I'm wondering if David was illegitimate but come census night his age was changed to fit with being legitimate?

If so, the address of Annie or her parents may be useful to find the elusive birth for David?

Always a possibility, David Clark born 1894 in Wemyss (possibly) but I did think he might have been born in Scoonie/Leven?

David Clark's death certificate said Edinburgh (don't think it is likely but this is where he married his first wife Isabella Lister).

I have not looked at the sibilings births on Scotlandspeople either to see if they match the census.
